# Data enrichment for your AI agent: turn a domain or a profile into a full record

RouterGrowth enriches companies and people through one MCP server: firmographics from a domain, a full professional profile from a LinkedIn URL or a work email, the technology a company runs and its funding history. The agent asks for the record and pays for the ones that exist.

## What your agent can do

| Capability | What it returns | Providers | From | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| [`company.enrich`](https://www.routergrowth.com/catalog/company.enrich) | Firmographics for a company from its domain. | LeadMagic, Apify, Apollo | $0.0071 per match | live |
| [`person.enrich`](https://www.routergrowth.com/catalog/person.enrich) | Full professional profile from a public LinkedIn profile URL or a work email: name, headline, about, location and the complete role history. | Apify, Apollo | $0.007 per match | live |
| [`company.technologies`](https://www.routergrowth.com/catalog/company.technologies) | Technology stack detected for a company. | DataForSEO | $0.021 per match | live |
| [`company.funding`](https://www.routergrowth.com/catalog/company.funding) | Funding history for a company: rounds, amounts, dates, investors and the latest round. The database route also lists the government awards it has detected as events (a grant, a sole-source contract, an SBIR) with the news link. | LeadMagic, Apollo | $0.042 per match | live |
| [`company.search`](https://www.routergrowth.com/catalog/company.search) | Companies matching a keyword, optionally filtered by location: name, website, industry, size, headquarters and description. A company database answers first; a live LinkedIn company search follows when it finds nothing. | Apify, Apollo, Icypeas | $0.0024 per search | live |
| [`people.search`](https://www.routergrowth.com/catalog/people.search) | Build a people list from filters: titles, seniority, company headcount, location, industry keywords. Returns profiles with current role and company. The lead database answers first, from a fraction of a cent a person and without emails: find them with contact.find, or pin the route that returns a known company's people with their work email. | Apify, Apollo, Icypeas | $0.0024 per result | live |

## Ask it like this

- Enrich these 300 domains with industry, headcount, location and funding. (`company.enrich`, `company.funding`)
- Which of these companies run HubSpot, and which run Salesforce? (`company.technologies`)
- For each LinkedIn URL in this sheet, give me the current role, the role history and the company size. (`person.enrich`, `company.enrich`)

## Connect

MCP server: `https://api.routergrowth.com/mcp` (OAuth, or an API key header).

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http routergrowth https://api.routergrowth.com/mcp
```

```bash
npm install -g routergrowth && routergrowth setup
routergrowth run -c company.enrich -i '{"domain": "stripe.com"}'
```

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.routergrowth.com/v1/run \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ROUTERGROWTH_API_KEY" \
  -d '{"capability": "company.enrich", "input": {"domain": "stripe.com"}}'
```

## Worth knowing

- **One record, several sources.** The router picks the provider for each record and falls through to the next when one has nothing.
- **Pay for what exists.** Funding and technology lookups are charged only when data comes back.
- **No table to maintain.** The agent enriches the rows in front of it and writes the result where you keep your data.

## Questions

### What are data enrichment tools?

Tools that take a thin record, such as a domain or a profile URL, and return the rest: industry, size, location, role history, technology, funding. Here they are capabilities an agent calls one record at a time.

### How do I enrich a list of companies with an AI agent?

Give it the domains. company.enrich returns firmographics for each, company.technologies the stack and company.funding the rounds, in one batch with a spending cap.

### Can it enrich people from LinkedIn?

Yes. person.enrich takes a public LinkedIn profile URL or a work email and returns the name, headline, location and complete role history.

### Is it a Clay alternative?

It does the enrichment calls a Clay table makes, at a per-call price and without the table. If you want a spreadsheet interface, keep one; if your agent is the interface, this is enough.
