# Turn the LinkedIn profile you are reading into a verified work email

LinkedIn shows who someone is and where they work, not how to email them. Your agent takes the first name, last name and company domain from the profile, and contact.find returns the work email with a valid or risky status and the mail server behind it. No browser extension, no scraping of the profile page.

## What a real run returned

Run on 2026-10-16: 1 records in 11.5 s for $0.04375. Personal fields are masked. One lookup for a games studio employee whose name and company came from a LinkedIn profile: the first provider had no match, the second returned a valid address on Microsoft 365.

## How to do it

1. **Connect RouterGrowth once.** Add the MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, or call the REST API with your RouterGrowth key.
2. **Read the profile first.** Paste the LinkedIn URL or the name and company you see. If your LinkedIn account is connected, linkedin.profile reads the current role so the company is the right one.
3. **Ask for the email.** contact.find takes the first name, last name and the company's domain. Providers are tried cheapest first until one finds the address.
4. **Keep it with the lead.** The email comes back with its status, so the agent can drop risky ones or run contact.verify on them before anything is sent.

## Worth knowing

- **It needs the company domain.** The lookup works from the employer's website domain, not the LinkedIn URL alone. The agent resolves the domain from the company name when the profile only shows a name.
- **A miss costs nothing.** contact.find bills only when an email is found. When every provider misses, the run is free.
- **Nothing is sent.** The call returns an address and a status. It does not send a connection request, a message or an email.

## Questions

### Does this work without LinkedIn Sales Navigator?

Yes. The agent only needs the name and the company from the profile, which any LinkedIn account shows.

### Is the email checked?

Each result carries a status from the provider that found it. For a second opinion, run contact.verify on the address.

### Can it find personal Gmail addresses?

No. contact.find looks for the professional address at the company domain you pass.

### What if the person changed jobs?

Pass the domain of the current employer. Reading the live profile first with linkedin.profile avoids looking up an old company.
