# What reading LinkedIn company posts costs when you pay per record

RouterGrowth is an independent route to public LinkedIn posts, not LinkedIn's API, and it bills one way. The call is quoted before it runs, a hold covers the limit you set, and the charge covers the posts that come back. The run below read Gong's company page; its real charge is shown next to the rows.

## The call

[`social.posts`](https://www.routergrowth.com/catalog/social.posts): Recent public posts for a social handle.

Price on this network: $0.0035 per post plus $0.000088 per call, $0.002 minimum a call. The exact quote is shown before every run.

## What a real run returned

Run on 2026-10-19: 6 records in 5.5 s for $0.021088. Personal fields are masked. Six recent posts from Gong's LinkedIn company page; the charge shown is what that call cost, for six posts.

## How to do it

1. **See the price first.** Run inspect on social.posts (free) to read the per-post rate and the base for LinkedIn before anything is charged.
2. **Set the limit.** The limit caps the spend: the hold before the run covers exactly that many posts.
3. **Cap it.** Pass max_cost on the run. If the quote is above it, the call does not start.
4. **Read the charge.** billing.charged in the response is the final amount, also listed in the runs history of the workspace.

## Ask it like this

- What would it cost to read the last 30 posts of these ten LinkedIn company pages? Quote it before running anything. (`social.posts`)
- Read Gong's last six LinkedIn posts with a max cost of ten cents and tell me what the run was charged. (`social.posts`)
- Pull the posts, then the comments under the top post, and give me the total spend of both calls. (`social.posts`, `social.comments`)

## Connect

MCP server: `https://api.routergrowth.com/mcp`

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http routergrowth https://api.routergrowth.com/mcp
```

```bash
npm install -g routergrowth && routergrowth setup
routergrowth run -c social.posts -i '{"platform": "linkedin", "handle": "company/gong-io", "limit": 6}'
```

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.routergrowth.com/v1/run \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ROUTERGROWTH_API_KEY" \
  -d '{"capability": "social.posts", "input": {"platform": "linkedin", "handle": "company/gong-io", "limit": 6}}'
```

## Worth knowing

- **Quote, hold, charge.** Every call shows its quote first, holds that amount from the prepaid wallet, then charges what the results cost and releases the rest.
- **No posts, no charge.** The catalog bills social.posts per post returned and does not bill a page that returns none.
- **Use the exact page slug.** company/gong points to a different organization than Gong the software company, whose page is company/gong-io. Check the first post before a large read.

## Questions

### How is a LinkedIn posts call priced?

Per post returned, plus a small base on the LinkedIn route. The live rate is shown on this page and in inspect.

### Is there a subscription or seat?

No. Calls are paid from a prepaid wallet, and the wallet is the only commitment.

### Does a larger limit cost more?

The hold grows with the limit; the charge follows the posts that actually come back.

### Where do I see what a run cost?

In billing.charged on the run response, in the CLI with routergrowth runs, and in the dashboard history.

### Do these prices relate to LinkedIn's own API pricing?

No. RouterGrowth is independent of LinkedIn and sets its own per-record rates.
