# Read a LinkedIn company page's posts through one REST call

Pass a company page as company/<name> and a limit. RouterGrowth returns the page's recent public posts as JSON records: text, link, date, likes, comments and reposts. It is an independent service, not LinkedIn's official API, so there is no developer app, partner review or OAuth flow to get through, only a RouterGrowth key.

## The call

[`social.posts`](https://www.routergrowth.com/catalog/social.posts): Recent public posts for a social handle.

Price on this network: $0.0035 per post plus $0.000088 per call, $0.002 minimum a call. The exact quote is shown before every run.

## What a real run returned

Run on 2026-10-19: 6 records in 5.4 s for $0.021088. Personal fields are masked. Six recent posts from HubSpot's public LinkedIn company page, each with its like, comment and repost counts.

## How to do it

1. **Get a key.** Create a RouterGrowth workspace and copy the API key from the dashboard. The same key works from the REST API, the CLI and the MCP server.
2. **Name the page.** Use the company slug from the page URL, written as company/hubspot, and a limit for how many posts to read.
3. **Call social.posts.** POST the capability, platform linkedin and the handle to the run endpoint. The response carries the quote, the charge and the posts in one JSON body.
4. **Use the records.** Each post has an id, url, text, created_at, author and an engagement object, the same shape social.posts returns for X, Facebook or YouTube.

## Ask it like this

- Pull the last 20 posts from these five competitors' LinkedIn company pages and rank them by comments. (`social.posts`)
- Read HubSpot's recent LinkedIn posts, then the comments under the two posts with the most replies. (`social.posts`, `social.comments`)
- Enrich each company in this list from its domain, then add its ten latest LinkedIn posts. (`company.enrich`, `social.posts`)

## Connect

MCP server: `https://api.routergrowth.com/mcp`

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http routergrowth https://api.routergrowth.com/mcp
```

```bash
npm install -g routergrowth && routergrowth setup
routergrowth run -c social.posts -i '{"platform": "linkedin", "handle": "company/hubspot", "limit": 6}'
```

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.routergrowth.com/v1/run \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ROUTERGROWTH_API_KEY" \
  -d '{"capability": "social.posts", "input": {"platform": "linkedin", "handle": "company/hubspot", "limit": 6}}'
```

## Worth knowing

- **Not the official API.** RouterGrowth reads public LinkedIn pages through its own providers. It does not publish posts, read page analytics or act as a page admin.
- **One shape across networks.** The post record is the same for LinkedIn, X, Facebook and YouTube, so one parser covers every network you track.
- **Billed per post.** The quote is shown before the call, a hold covers the limit, and the charge covers the posts that come back.

## Questions

### Is this LinkedIn's official API?

No. RouterGrowth is an independent service that reads public company pages. It is not affiliated with LinkedIn.

### Do I need a LinkedIn developer app or an OAuth token?

No. One RouterGrowth API key authenticates the call; no LinkedIn app, scope or approval is involved.

### Can it post or read follower analytics?

No. This call is read-only and returns public posts. Impressions, follower demographics and admin data stay in LinkedIn's own tools.

### How do I write the handle?

Use company/ followed by the slug from the page URL, for example company/hubspot. The full page URL works too.

### What does each post include?

Its id, URL, text, publish date, author, a video flag and engagement: likes, comments and reposts.
