# How Claude reads public LinkedIn posts, jobs and companies

On its own, Claude does not log in to LinkedIn or browse it at scale. Connect the RouterGrowth MCP and it can read public LinkedIn data as tool calls: a company page's posts, keyword searches, job postings and company records. It never uses your LinkedIn login, so nothing is scraped from behind it.

## What a real run returned

Run on 2026-10-19: 5 records in 7.7 s for $0.017588. Personal fields are masked. Five posts from Zapier's company page feed: three were Zapier's own and two were written by people at the company.

## How to do it

1. **Add the MCP server.** Connect RouterGrowth to Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude Code). A new workspace starts with $1 of credit.
2. **Ask in plain words.** Ask Claude for a company page's latest LinkedIn posts. It calls social.posts with the page as company/<name>.
3. **Let it chain calls.** Claude can follow with social.search for a keyword, company.jobs for open roles or company.enrich for firmographics.
4. **Keep the answer.** Ask for a table, a summary or a CSV of what it read.

## Worth knowing

- **Public data, no login.** Claude reads what LinkedIn shows publicly through RouterGrowth's providers. Your feed, inbox and connections are out of reach for this call.
- **Read-only here.** These calls only read. Nothing is liked, posted or sent from any account.
- **Check who wrote it.** A company page feed can include posts by employees. The author field tells them apart.

## Questions

### Can Claude scrape LinkedIn by itself?

Not reliably. Claude's own browsing does not log in to LinkedIn, and LinkedIn limits automated access. Through an MCP server it gets public LinkedIn data as structured results.

### Does it need my LinkedIn password or cookie?

No. The RouterGrowth MCP uses a RouterGrowth key; no LinkedIn credentials are shared.

### Does this work in Claude Code and Cursor?

Yes. The same MCP server connects to Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT and Codex.

### Can Claude read personal profiles?

Public profile data is available through separate calls. This page covers company pages, which is where most research starts.
