# Scrape LinkedIn posts that mention a keyword, without running a scraper

Give your agent a keyword. RouterGrowth searches public LinkedIn posts for it and returns rows with the text, author, date, likes and comment count. Nothing runs on your machine and no LinkedIn account is used, so there is no headless browser to patch, no proxy pool and no account to get restricted.

## The call

[`social.search`](https://www.routergrowth.com/catalog/social.search): Public posts matching a keyword on X, LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook: brand mentions, category conversations, competitor chatter.

Price on this network: $0.0035 per post plus $0.000088 per call, $0.002 minimum a call. The exact quote is shown before every run.

## What a real run returned

Run on 2026-10-19: 6 records in 5.0 s for $0.021088. Personal fields are masked. Six public posts for "revenue operations", all from the past week; two announce open RevOps or sales operations roles.

## How to do it

1. **Connect RouterGrowth once.** Add the MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. A new workspace starts with $1 of credit, enough to run this example many times.
2. **Name the keyword.** Ask for LinkedIn posts about a topic, a product or a competitor, and how many to read.
3. **Read the rows.** social.search returns each post with its link, text, author, date and engagement counts.
4. **Act on the signal.** Have the agent keep the hiring posts, the complaints or the questions, and pass the companies to the next call.

## Ask it like this

- Find LinkedIn posts from this week about revenue operations and list the companies that are hiring for it. (`social.search`, `company.jobs`)
- Search LinkedIn for 'revops' and 'revenue operations', merge the results and keep posts with more than five comments. (`social.search`)
- For every post that announces a RevOps hire, enrich the hiring company from its domain. (`social.search`, `company.enrich`)

## Connect

MCP server: `https://api.routergrowth.com/mcp`

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http routergrowth https://api.routergrowth.com/mcp
```

```bash
npm install -g routergrowth && routergrowth setup
routergrowth run -c social.search -i '{"platform": "linkedin", "query": "revenue operations", "limit": 6}'
```

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.routergrowth.com/v1/run \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ROUTERGROWTH_API_KEY" \
  -d '{"capability": "social.search", "input": {"platform": "linkedin", "query": "revenue operations", "limit": 6}}'
```

## Worth knowing

- **No scraper to keep alive.** LinkedIn changes its pages and blocks automated sessions. The providers behind the call handle that, so your agent only sees rows.
- **Public posts only.** The search reads public posts. It does not open your feed, your connections or Sales Navigator, and it never logs in as you.
- **Authors are people.** Most posts are written by individuals. The sample masks their names; treat what you keep with the same care.

## Questions

### Does it need my LinkedIn login or cookie?

No. The call runs on RouterGrowth's providers with your RouterGrowth key and no LinkedIn session.

### Can my LinkedIn account get restricted?

No account of yours is involved in the search, so nothing is sent from it.

### Does it return emails or full profiles?

No. social.search returns posts. For people use people.search, and for a work email contact.find.

### Can I filter by date or location?

The input is the platform, the keyword and a limit. Filter on created_at after the call, or put a place in the keyword.
