# Export the comments of a TikTok video into a CSV or a sheet

Paste a TikTok video URL. social.comments returns its comments as flat records (text, author, likes, reply count, time and link), which an agent writes straight into a CSV file or a Google Sheet, one row per comment. Good for tagging questions, complaints and requests by hand or by model.

## How to do it

1. **Pick the video.** Paste its URL, or list a brand's recent videos with social.posts and pick one.
2. **Call social.comments.** Set the limit to the number of rows you want in the file.
3. **Write the file.** Each comment maps to one row: text, author, likes, replies, created_at, url. The agent writes the CSV or appends the rows to a sheet.
4. **Tag the rows.** Add a column for question, complaint or request and let a model or a person fill it.

## Worth knowing

- **The agent writes the file.** The call returns JSON records. Your agent or script turns them into a CSV or writes them to Sheets; there is no file download.
- **Mask before sharing.** Commenters are people. Mask the author column in any sheet that leaves your team.
- **Mixed languages.** Comments on a global brand arrive in several languages. Add a language column if you split by market.

## Questions

### Can I export a whole video's comments?

Set a higher limit. You pay per comment returned, so a large export is priced by its size.

### Are replies to comments included?

Each comment carries its reply count. The comments returned are the ones under the video.

### Which columns do I get?

text, author, likes, replies, created_at and url for every comment.

### Do I need a TikTok account?

No. One RouterGrowth key reads public videos. RouterGrowth is independent of TikTok.
