# Read any public X account's recent posts through one independent API

Name a public X account and get its recent posts as JSON: text, likes, replies, reposts, views, date and link, retweets included. RouterGrowth is an independent API, not X's own, so there is no developer app, bearer token from X or access tier to apply for.

## How to do it

1. **One key.** Use a RouterGrowth key over REST or the MCP connector in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex.
2. **Name the account.** social.posts takes platform x and the handle with or without @.
3. **Parse the JSON.** posts is a list with text, engagement (likes, replies, reposts, views), created_at, url and author_url.
4. **Combine.** Add the account's profile with social.profile, or search the topic across X with social.search.

## Ask it like this

- Pull the last 20 posts from @stripe and list the product launches among them. (`social.posts`)
- Compare the last ten posts of three fintech brands on X: topics, views and how often they retweet. (`social.posts`, `social.profile`)

## Worth knowing

- **Independent of X.** RouterGrowth is not affiliated with X and does not resell X's developer API. It returns public data through its own providers.
- **Retweets are included.** Rows starting with RT are reposts of other accounts. Filter them out if you only want original posts.
- **No posting.** The call reads posts. It cannot publish, like or follow.

## Questions

### Is this the official Twitter API?

No. It is an independent API for public X data. X's own terms and tiers do not cover it.

### Do I need X credentials?

No. Only your RouterGrowth key.

### How many posts can I get?

Set the limit; the quote scales with it and the charge follows the posts returned.

### Does it return replies to a post?

Not this call. Use social.comments with the post URL.
