# Read the recent tweets of one X account, with views and replies

Pass a public X handle and social.posts returns the account's recent tweets: text, date, likes, replies, reposts, views and the link to each. An agent can then find the post you are looking for, track what a competitor announced, or see which updates got traction.

## How to do it

1. **Pass the handle.** @name or the profile URL of a public account.
2. **Call social.posts.** platform x and a limit. The tweets come back newest first.
3. **Search inside them.** Have the agent filter the text for the word or link you need.
4. **Search older tweets.** For a keyword over an older period, try social.search with from:handle and since: and until: dates in the query.

## Ask it like this

- Pull Vercel's last twenty tweets and list the product launches with their views. (`social.posts`)
- Find the tweet where this company announced its new pricing, then read the replies to it. (`social.posts`, `social.comments`)
- Compare the last ten tweets of our two main competitors by views and replies. (`social.posts`)

## Worth knowing

- **Recent tweets, not a keyword search.** social.posts lists the latest posts. To match words in one account's tweets, try from:handle plus the words in social.search.
- **Public accounts only.** Protected accounts cannot be read.
- **Read only.** Nothing is liked, followed or posted. RouterGrowth is independent of X.
