# Scrape the comments under a YouTube video into rows for your agent

Paste a YouTube video link. RouterGrowth scrapes the comments under it and returns rows with text, author, likes, reply count and when each was posted. ## How to do it

## Worth knowing

- **Launch feedback in one call.** Comments under a launch video are early product feedback; here a missing toolbar option showed up in the first ten.
- **Times are relative.** Posting time comes back as YouTube shows it, such as "2 days ago"; date the run if you store it.
- **No scraper on your side.** YouTube's pages and limits are handled behind the call. A video with no comments returns no rows and no charge.

## Questions

### Do I need a YouTube Data API key?

No. The call uses your RouterGrowth key, with no Google Cloud project or quota.

### Does it include replies to comments?

Each comment carries its reply count, so you can see which ones started a thread.

### Can it scrape comments on Shorts?

Pass the Short's link as the URL the same way as for a video.

### How many comments can I get?
