# ZoomInfo alternatives: 7 tools compared for 2026, with pricing

We make RouterGrowth, one of the tools on this list, so read it as a vendor's view. Every figure about another product was taken from that product's own pricing page on 8 October 2026 and is linked at the end. Prices change; check the source before you buy.

ZoomInfo is the enterprise standard for B2B contact and company data. More than 30,000 customers use it, by its own count, and its depth is real: org charts, technographics, intent signals, and integrations with the major CRMs. People look for a ZoomInfo alternative for reasons that have little to do with data quality. There is no price on the website. The purchase goes through sales and a contract. And a small team, or an AI agent, rarely needs the whole platform to get a verified email and a reason to write.

## What does ZoomInfo cost in 2026?

ZoomInfo does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists three sales plans (Professional, Copilot Advanced and Copilot Enterprise) and separate marketing plans, each with a free trial and a conversation with sales behind it.

What the page does say is how the price is built: on features and functionality, on the number of licenses, and on credit usage. One credit is one exported contact or company profile. Deeper data, such as technographics, department budgets, org charts and real-time alerts, costs more than basic firmographics, and add-ons such as streaming intent are priced separately.

| Plan | What it adds |
| --- | --- |
| Professional | contact and company profiles, mobile numbers and business emails, search and export, CRM integrations, Chrome extension |
| Copilot Advanced | account prioritization, buyer intent signals, website visitors, funding and tech insights, champion tracking, workflows |
| Copilot Enterprise | real-time intent, sales activity automation, custom intent signals, custom integrations, advanced reporting |

If you want a number before you talk to anyone, that is the first reason to read on.

## Which ZoomInfo alternative fits which job?

| Tool | Best for | You pay for | Entry price |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| RouterGrowth | AI agents that need contacts, signals and sending as calls | each call, from a prepaid balance | no subscription |
| Apollo | a database with sequencing, at a published price | seats | free, then $49 per seat a month, billed annually |
| Cognism | sales teams that want a ZoomInfo-class contract with another vendor | a quote | not published, 5 seats included |
| Lusha | phone numbers and emails from a browser extension | credits | free, then from $37.45 a month |
| UpLead | a smaller verified database, one credit per contact | credits | $99 a month for 170 credits |
| RocketReach | individual lookups, month to month or annual | per user | $33 a month, billed annually |
| Clay | orchestrating many data providers in a table | actions and data credits | free, then from $185 a month |

Only Cognism plays in ZoomInfo's weight class on contract shape. The others replace the part of ZoomInfo a smaller team actually uses.

## What are the seven alternatives, one by one?

### 1. RouterGrowth: the data without the platform

RouterGrowth gives Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or your own agent B2B data as calls: search people by title and company, find and verify a work email, find a mobile number, enrich a company, and read hiring, funding and technology signals. The agent sees a price before each call and pays from one prepaid balance. No seat, no contract, and an email lookup that finds nothing is not billed.

Because each lookup routes across several providers, a miss on one source becomes an attempt on the next. The same key also sends: email from inboxes on domains you own, and LinkedIn invitations from your own account. Scoring accounts on public signals is in the [buying signals guide](/use-cases/company-buying-signals).

- **Choose it when** an agent or a script does the prospecting, you want a price per result, or you need data a few thousand times a month rather than a platform for forty reps.
- **Skip it when** you need what makes ZoomInfo ZoomInfo: proprietary intent data, org charts, a database to browse, and native CRM and marketing automation sync. RouterGrowth has none of those.

### 2. Apollo: the published-price default

Apollo is the usual first stop for teams that cannot justify a ZoomInfo contract. The free plan grants 900 credits per seat a year. Paid plans are $49, $79 and $119 per seat a month, billed annually, the last with a three-seat minimum, and include sequences and a dialer. An email is one credit and a phone number eight. The full breakdown is in [Apollo.io alternatives](/use-cases/apollo-alternatives).

- **Choose it when** you want a database and outreach in one tool with the price on the page.
- **Skip it when** you need enterprise depth: intent, hierarchies, and the admin controls a large sales org expects.

### 3. Cognism: the closest in kind

Cognism sells the same kind of product to the same kind of buyer: a sales intelligence platform bought through sales. Its page lists Sales Prospecting in Standard and Pro packages with five seats included, with intent data and on-demand mobile verification in Pro, and no public price. One credit reveals one contact, and a revealed contact stays usable for the length of the contract.

- **Choose it when** you want a ZoomInfo-class tool and a second quote to compare.
- **Skip it when** the reason you are leaving ZoomInfo is the sales-led contract itself.

### 4. Lusha: contact data without the contract

Lusha reveals emails and direct phone numbers from a browser extension. An email is one credit and a phone number five. The free plan has 40 credits a month; Starter is listed from $37.45 a month for 4,800 credits a year, Pro from $52.45 for 7,200, and Premium from $299.95 for 40,800 with five seats. Larger teams move to a custom Scale plan.

- **Choose it when** reps mainly need a number and an email for people they have already found.
- **Skip it when** you need account-level intelligence, not contact details.

### 5. UpLead: verified contacts, simple credits

UpLead sells a smaller database with one rule: one credit unlocks one contact with the email and the mobile direct dial. Essentials is $99 a month for 170 credits and Plus $199 for 400, or $74 and $149 a month on annual plans, after a seven-day trial with five credits. Team accounts are on a custom Professional plan.

- **Choose it when** you want predictable cost per contact and care about bounce rate.
- **Skip it when** you need tens of thousands of records a month.

### 6. RocketReach: lookups at a fixed monthly price

RocketReach is a lookup tool for emails and phone numbers. Essentials is $33 a month, Pro $75 and Ultimate $142, all billed annually, and team plans start at $6,000 a year. Free accounts get five lookups.

- **Choose it when** individuals look people up one at a time and want a low fixed price.
- **Skip it when** you need intent, signals or workflows around the lookup.

### 7. Clay: many providers instead of one

Clay is not a database. It is a table that calls more than 150 data providers and chains them in waterfalls. The free plan has 100 data credits and 500 actions a month; Launch starts at $185 a month and Growth at $495, which adds CRM sync. The full breakdown is in [Clay alternatives](/use-cases/clay-alternatives).

- **Choose it when** coverage from a single database is the problem and someone on the team likes building workflows.
- **Skip it when** you want one vendor to call and one invoice to read.

## When should you stay on ZoomInfo?

Stay when a sales and marketing organization runs on it: territory planning, intent-driven account lists, CRM enrichment at scale, and admin controls across dozens of licenses. That depth is what the contract buys, and none of the cheaper tools here reproduces all of it. Stay too if your buyers are in segments where ZoomInfo's coverage is the best you have tested. Test before you switch: run the same 200 accounts through the alternative and compare the contacts you can actually reach.

Look elsewhere when the use is narrower than the platform. A founder, a five-person sales team, or an agent that needs a verified email and one fresh signal per account is buying a small slice of what ZoomInfo sells.

## How do you get ZoomInfo-style data from an agent?

Four calls cover what most small teams use a database for.

1. **Find the people.** `people.search` by title, company and location.
2. **Get the contact.** `contact.find` for the work email, `contact.phone` for the mobile, `contact.verify` before sending.
3. **Add the company.** `company.enrich` for industry, headcount and location.
4. **Add the timing.** `company.jobs`, `company.funding` and `company.technologies` for public signals that say why now. See [high-intent leads](/use-cases/find-high-intent-leads).

These are public signals, not ZoomInfo's proprietary intent data. They answer a narrower question: is this company hiring, funded or changing its stack right now.

## FAQ

### How much does ZoomInfo cost?

ZoomInfo does not publish a price. Its pricing page says the cost depends on the features you choose, the number of licenses and your credit usage, with one credit per exported profile, and it directs buyers to a trial or to sales.

### What is the cheapest ZoomInfo alternative?

Among tools with a published price, RocketReach at $33 a month billed annually and Lusha from $37.45 a month. Apollo and Lusha also have free plans. For occasional use, a pay-per-call tool costs less than any plan because a month with no runs costs nothing.

### Is there a free ZoomInfo alternative?

Apollo's free plan grants 900 credits per seat a year and Lusha's 40 credits a month. Clay has a free plan with 100 data credits a month. ZoomInfo itself offers a free trial. RouterGrowth has no free tier and no subscription: verifying your email adds $1 of credit that runs real calls.

### Is Apollo as good as ZoomInfo?

For a small team that needs contacts and a sequencer, Apollo is usually enough and far easier to buy. ZoomInfo goes deeper on intent, hierarchies and enterprise administration. The honest test is your own segment: run the same account list through both.

### Which ZoomInfo alternative has an API for AI agents?

RouterGrowth is API-first and ships an MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT or a custom agent can search people, find and verify emails and read company signals as tool calls, with the price before each one. Several database vendors also offer APIs on their higher plans, and ZoomInfo has its own server: [ZoomInfo MCP](/use-cases/zoominfo-mcp) covers how its credits work.

### Do these alternatives have intent data?

Cognism lists intent data in its Pro package, and Clay lists signal and web intent tracking on its paid plans. RouterGrowth works with public signals such as hiring, funding and technology changes. If proprietary intent data is the reason you bought ZoomInfo, compare that feature specifically before you move.
